Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has surpassed over one million educational anti-drug booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
